Throughout the month of September, we’ll be donating $1 to the Mercer Arboretum and Botanical Gardens for every new “like” that we get on our Facebook page. Our goal is to reach 1,000 likes by the end of the month and donate $1,000 to the gardens.

Haven’t Been to Mercer Before?

If you haven’t visited Mercer before, you’ve been missing out. We suggest that you take one Saturday and head out to the gardens with friends or family. Bring a blanket, pack a picnic and enjoy one of the finest natural spaces that Houston has to offer.

The gardens are located just off of the Hardy Toll Rd in Humble and have been an area landmark since 1974. Today Mercer stretches over 325 acres. On the east side of the park, are the botanic gardens filled with bamboo, ferns, color displays and a number of endangered species. The west side features two playgrounds, miles of waking trails and a picnic area with 58 tables, two barbecue pavilions, a boardwalk and a cypress swamp.

How You Can Help Out

The gardens rely largely on the work of the Mercer Society, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit supported organization. The mission of the Mercer Society is to expand community awareness of the numerous educational and recreational programs offered at Mercer.

To support the Mercer Society:
