If you’ve been into our office recently, you might’ve noticed our newest team member Dr. Kari Blankenship.

Dr. Blankenship is a recent graduate of the University of Texas Health Sciences Center in San Antonio where she received her doctorate in Dental Surgery. She also has postdoctoral training in advanced oral surgery, periodontics, endodontics, prosthodontics and restorative dentistry.

Here at Greenspoint Dental, Dr. Blankenship will focus primarily on pediatric dental care. She’ll be providing all our youngsters with cleanings, fillings, sealants and Invisalign consultations. She says that she likes working with younger patients and enjoys helping them set good, lifelong dental hygiene habits.

“I believe oral hygiene and oral health are really big components of entire body health,” Dr. Blankenship said. “I want to make sure children understand that and become accustomed to coming to the dentist at a young age, so they aren’t terrified when they are adults to get necessary treatment.”

When she’s not in the office, Dr. Blankenship enjoys running, playing guitar and frequenting Houston’s dog parks with her new chihuahua puppy, Biscuits.
